Zachary Keck has been the Professional Staff Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and Nonproliferation. Before that, he was the Wohlstetter Public Affairs Fellow at the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center where he wrote a book on how allied proliferation impacts U.S. national security. Previously, he was researcher at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs where he worked on nuclear weapons, U.S. defense policy, and U.S.-China relations. Before that, he was the managing editor of The National Interest. Earlier, he was the managing editor of The Diplomat, where he authored the Pacific Realist blog.
Zachary has written for a number of outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The Atlantic, The Hill, World Politics Review and The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists among many others. Zach holds a BA in political science from SUNY New Paltz and an MA in political science from George Mason University. He resides in Washington, DC.
